Family & Portrait Sessions

When choosing your wardrobe for a shoot, think color and accessories (scarves, hats, ties, headbands, bracelets, vests, etc.). This goes for kiddos, too—especially babies! If you want to visit with me about wardrobe choice beforehand, just give me a call—it is one of my favorite parts and I would be happy to chat with you about it. Be prepared to have fun and be creative. I promise we will get those traditional shots you want, but lets do something unique, too. You will be surprised at how much fun a photo shoot can be and how awesome images are when you’re willing to take a bit of a risk!

Newborn Sessions

Newborns are such a wonder to photograph. So tiny and precious—they really are miraculous little creatures and I try to capture that in my photography. The best time to shoot brand new babies is around a week old. After a few weeks, they don’t sleep as soundly and they just aren’t as pliable. When they are brand new, they are less likely to have baby acne and other issues that pop up as they grow. Because when your baby will be born is a bit unpredictable, I can be flexible. Just call me with a time frame and we can go from there.

Weddings need to be booked well in advance. There is a lot to talk about and plan when it comes to weddings. It is important to capture all the details and special moments of your day. The best approach is to photograph your day organically, as it happens. No forced poses and fake smiles. Your images need to be natural, relaxed, and most of all, joyous—like the day itself!  Call or email for wedding pricing and deposit information.

My Artistic Style

My style is very natural and documentary. I get into the moments and try to capture their essence. I want you to be in your natural, comfortable state, as well, so I will give you suggestions on where to stand and how to hold your head, but mostly, I want you to just be you so I can memorialize it for you. I like big, natural light. It is the primary way I shoot. As far as editing goes, I will color correct and edit every photo that you receive, but I am not one to paint your face and liquify your body parts with Photoshop! Why not? Because I want my work to really show who you are!
